Live One-on-One Help

Diachronic Design Google Helpouts Header

I offer live one-on-one assistance to archaeologists though Google's Hangouts. Google Hangouts is a video conferencing system that allows me to conduct one-on-one tutorial, advising, and troubleshooting sessions over the Internet with a full array of tools: including audio, video, screen sharing (so you can see my computer as I perform actions), remote desktop ability (an optional feaure that allows me to directly interact with your computer), and full Google documents support (so that you leave the session with any notes, diagrams, whiteboard drawings, or spreadsheets that we create for later reference).

All you need to get started are a Google+ profile, and a PC, Mac, Android, or iOS device with at least a microphone and a speaker. You can read more details about system requirements here. If you don't already have the Google Hangouts plugin, Google will ask you to install it, which takes less than 2 minutes. If you are calling from a work computer and don't want to install anything, Google Helpouts work great on mobile devices! We can video chat and you can share your screen by using your device's camera.

Follow @DiachronicD on Twitter for alerts when I am available. I am also available by appointment with 2 days notice. Contact me to request assistance with projects like building a lithics database, creating GIS maps, customizing data collection apps, creating websites, preparing images and reports, or to ask questions about best practices and options for how digital tools can enhance almost any kind of archaeological work. All my sessions come with a 100% money back guarantee: if I can't help answer your question or you are dissatisfied for any reason, there is no charge.
